Destacado cantante, arreglista y compositor. Nació en Maricao, Puerto Rico. Domina diversos instrumentos tales como: guitarra, bajo, mandolina, cuatro y percusión.

Nino Segarra obtuvo su bachillerato en Música Aplicada (voz, arreglos y composición) y otro título en educación musical de la Universidad Interamericana de San Germán.

A los 14 años se inició tocando guitarra e instrumentos de percusión, pero su ingreso al profesionalismo lo hizo a los 16 años con la agrupación “The Monarc” como intérprete de guitarra. Un año después inició sus actividades como cantante interpretando el género de la balada. Sus primeros arreglos musicales los grabó con la orquesta Mundo de Ponce, dirigida por el maestro Jossie León.

Luego efectuó una diversidad de arreglos en Puerto Rico para obras teatrales y composiciones sinfónicas. En 1988 realizó arreglos para artistas como Andy Montañez, Marvin Santiago, Eddie Santiago, Oscar de León, Lalo Rodríguez, Amilcar Boscan y Orquesta La Selección, entro otros.

En la especialidad de la salsa ha grabado siete producciones. La producción “Con la música por dentro” fue el inicio de la carrera ascendente de Nino Segarra, convirtiéndolo en uno de los cantantes de música bailable más aclamados. El tema “Porque te amo” de ese producción, logró mantener los primeros lugares de ventas en Estados Unidos, Puerto Rico y América Latina. Otras producciones en el género de la salsa romántica son: El Maestro, Solo por ti y Loco de Amor

La calidad del contenido de sus producciones en combinación con su voz convierten a Nino en un artista de reconocido talento. En el presente, Nino, está promoviendo su reciente producción “Romántico Salsero” la cual fue lanzada el 10 de noviembre de 1998

Su ultimo concierto en Medellín se realizo el 21 de septiembre del 2001 en compañía de Eddie Santiago, Willie Gonzáles, David Pabón dicha presentación se realizo en el estadio Atanasio Girardot. En la actualidad los coros de la producción de Willie Gonzáles titulada “REENCUENTROS” tienen el toque romántico y acompañamiento de Nino Segarra.
