La estrella de la música latina Marc Anthony, el pelotero Javy Baéz junto a Cubs Charitiesy el rapero Bad Bunny inauguran 1 de 6 parques de Baseball en Loiza que están arreglando la fundación «Play Ball Again». Marc Anthony, que hoy se presenta en concierto en el Coliseo de Puerto Rico, dijo a su llegada que esta iniciativa que lleva a cabo a través de su Fundación Maestro Cares, es una muestra de su compromiso no solo con la juventud, sino con el pueblo de Puerto Rico. “Aquí estamos diciendo presente y estamos empezando (con este proyecto). Falta mucho, pero como siempre, pueden contar conmigo.

Dios los bendiga y que viva Puerto Rico”, expresó el vocalista durante la ceremonia de inauguración, en la que estuvo presente la alcaldesa de Loíza, Julia Nazario.

El pasado mes de octubre, el cantante urbano Bad Bunny y Marc Anthony, anunciaron que ayudarían a reconstruir parte de los cerca de 300 campos de béisbol utilizados por jóvenes que quedaron destruidos en Puerto Rico luego el embate del huracán María en septiembre del 2017.

Los dos cantantes informaron en aquel momento que estarían uniendo esfuerzos para contribuir a la nanciación, por medio de sus respectivas fundaciones y el programa Play Ball Again que tiene como objetivo reconstruir algunos de los campos dañados en la isla.

El presidente de la Corporación de Apoyo a Iniciativas Locales (LISC, en inglés), Maurice Jones, cuya entidad creó Play Ball Again y está coordinando el desarrollo de los trabajos de recuperación en los campos, dijo en aquella ocasión que esperan crear oportunidades para los jóvenes practicantes del deporte.
